Lance E. Lewis
Lance Lewis was born and raised in West Philadelphia. He became a member of a local Pentecostal church after coming to faith through the witness of a friend and remained within the Pentecostal church for nine years. Through God's gracious providence Lance studied and embraced the doctrines of grace and in 1990 became a member of the historic Tenth Presbyterian church under the pastorate of the late James Montgomery Boice. Lance was educated at Temple University and Chesapeake Theological seminary and after a period of internships in the south returned to Philadelphia to plant Christ Liberation Fellowship in November of 2001. Lance's hope and prayer is to begin a broadly reformed church planting movement throughout the greater Philadelphia area targeting the African-American community with biblically driven neighborhood churches. Lance has been blessed to travel this life with Sharon his wonderful wife of 22 years. Together they have two children, Sarah and Charles.
